About Me
You don’t get a
second chance to make a first impression. With this philosophy, Hot
Secret, one of Toronto’s leading hair professionals, ensures all her
clients look their best with creative and classic hair designs.
Proud owner of
Secret Hair & Nail Design salon, Hot Secret has over a decade of
cosmetology expertise behind her. Hot Secrets has studied in both
Canada and the U.S. taking courses with Model Search Canada Make-up
Academy, Revlon Professional, Zehava School of Esthetics & Message
Therapy, Topaz Aesthetics & Hairstyling Academy, International Hair
& Nail Convention and Salon Finish.
Working with all
hair types, Hot Secret has mastered all conventional styles, in
addition to creating a class of her own. Her unique creations include:
Flamingo Flips, Fire flips, Volcano, Boiling Point Pony Tail and
Beed2Pony Tail.
Hot Secret has
worked with renowned stylist including, Latoya Pearson (World Hair
Commentator), Sweets (Extreme Hair Magazine) and Big Bad D (B.B.D.
Products Company). In addition to working with B.B.D, she has also won
the honor of being featured on one of Big Bad D’s distinctive products,
the Laquer product line.
She has excelled in
hair competitions winning “Best Hair Style” at the Picture man Lloyd
Hair Contest and 1st Place at Topaz Aesthetic & Hairstyling Academy
Competition. Coupled with her competition and professional accolades,
Hot Secret has launched her very own Advanced Academy offering courses
to licensed stylist. She has also partnered with the Toronto School
Board offering in-school demos and teach-the-teacher seminars.
Her success does
not stop her efforts to give back to her community. Hot Secret has
awarded 5 free make-overs a month to single teenage mothers and youth
at risk in the Massey Centre and Youth Link centers. In recent years
she has participated in the City of Toronto Bone Marrow Transplant
Fundraiser, Driftwood Advisory Counsel Jane & Finch Community
Festival and the Tropicana Community Services International Women’s Day.
Hot Secret who has
styled Canadian Idol R&B sensation Toya Alexis, has been
published in Pride Newspaper, Toronto Sun, It’s Your Time Magazine in
(Toronto), Salon Sense and Urban Style Magazine in (U.S.). She appeared
on Canada AM, and has work that graced Much Music, Breakfast Television
(City TV) and Toronto Living (Rogers Cable 10). Recently Hot Secret has
been featured in Sophisticated Black Hair (U.S.) and is a major
contributor to the newly launched Extreme Hair Magazine (Toronto).

Unknown Fact: I always
knew while growing up that I wanted to be a hairstylist as
one of my careers.
